Dr. Bethany JacksonMD – Endocrinologist

Born and raised in rural Lamar County, Alabama; Dr. Jackson attended medical school at UAB and internal medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Deciding to specialize in Endocrine, Dr. Jackson attended the Medical College of Georgia in Savannah, GA for her fellowship. Recruited by ECM Hospital (now North Alabama Medical Center), Dr. Jackson returned to Alabama in 2014 to practice in Florence.

In 2016 she and her husband opened The Florence Endocrine Clinic; a privately owned, outpatient Endocrine clinic.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr Jackson enjoys hiking in the Smokey Mountains and the Pacific Northwest with her husband, daughter, and dogs.

Bryan Grissett
Bryan GrissettDO - Endocrinologist

Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, Dr. Grissett completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), followed by an internal medicine residency in Huntsville and endocrinology fellowship at Ochsner in New Orleans. Dr. Grissett is well-equipped to address a wide range of endocrine concerns, with a special focus on diabetes management, thyroid disorders, and hormone imbalances.

As a person with Type 1 diabetes himself, Dr. Grissett has firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional impact that chronic endocrine conditions can have on individuals and their families. Dr. Grissett strives to provide personalized care, ensuring each patient feels valued and heard throughout their healthcare journey.

Outside of work, Dr. Grissett spends his time biking, attempting cooking, playing video games, and building a home with his family.

Erica Conley
Erica ConleyCRNP – Nurse Practitioner

A native of Muscle Shoals, Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2010. She then worked as a registered nurse in Internal Medicine/Nephrology at Huntsville Hospital while she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Troy University. She graduated in 2014.

Erica worked in the primary care setting until July 2019 when she joined the staff at Florence Endocrine Clinic. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

When she’s not working at the Clinic, Erica enjoys watching her children play sports and serving in her Church.

Hannah Perkins
Hannah PerkinsFNP - Nurse Practitioner

Born and raised in the Shoals, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2017. She then worked as a registered nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital. She also has experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and Hospice. Hannah completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021 at the University of North Alabama.

She joined the Florence Endocrine Clinic as a Nurse Practitioner in the spring of 2022. When not working Hannah enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Joshua JacksonPhD - Owner / Practice Administrator / Diabetes Technologist

Joshua holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering, and worked for several years in industrial embedded product research and development. After moving to the Shoals in 2014, Joshua consulted on mobile app development and product development for several local companies. Since transitioning to healthcare, Joshua has been credentialed as a certified insulin pump trainer with Medtronic, Insulet OmniPod, and Tandem.

Joshua serves as the Diabetes Technology Educator, Practice Administrator, and IT Administrator for the Florence Endocrine Clinic. Together with his wife Bethany, Joshua opened the Florence Endocrine Clinic in 2016.

When he’s not training patients on their insulin pumps, Joshua enjoys bird hunting, salt water fishing, and hiking with his wife and daughter.

Blake Hale
Blake HaleOffice Manager

Born and raised in the Shoals, Blake attended Auburn University where he received a degree in PolySci which he put to use working in several political campaigns making his way towards Washington.  Returning to the Shoals, Blake worked in fitness and customer service eventually becoming a licensed insurance agent.

Blake joins husband Holden on our team bringing his experience to bear, navigating insurance issues for our clinic and our patients and managing our front office operations.

Tasha AdamsRN - Nurse

Born and raised in Sheffield, Tasha worked as an MA in both ophthalmology and internal medicine before pursuing an RN degree at NWSC. Tasha began working for Dr Jackson in 2015 and followed Dr Jackson when the Florence Endocrine Clinic was opened, she works as an RN specializing in new patient intake and education.

When she’s not teaching about diabetes, Tasha enjoys off-roading with her family and relaxing outdoors.

Holden GrimesRN - Nurse

Born and raised in Moulton, Holden pursued an early career in the medical field starting as a surgical technologist before returning to NWSC for an RN degree. Holden has worked in surgery, nursing, and occupational health.

Holden joined the Florence Endocrine Clinic in 2018 as an RN.

Holden enjoys traveling in addition to working on the Village School project in Sheffield.

Monica CopelandMedical Assistant

Monica graduated from Rogers high school in 2011 and began a career in the medical field. Monica has completed both her CNA and her MA.

Monica joined the Florence Endocrine Clinic in 2021 as a medical assistant.

Monica loves spending time with family and friends, and enjoys exploring nature trails with her son and dogs.

Bridget BaskinsSonographer

Born and raised in Florence, Bridget graduated from Brooks High School. She attended Wallace State, completing a degree in diagnostic medical sonography.

Bridget joined the Florence Endocrine Clinic in 2020 as an ultrasound sonographer after working at Athens-Limestone, Crestwood, and Russellville Hospitals.

Bridget enjoys spending time with her sons and being active in her Church.

Mandy PurserMedical Assistant

Born and raised in Hamilton and Red Bay, Mandy began a career in Phlebotomy in 2014.

Mandy has been with the Florence Endocrine Clinic since 2016, originally as a phlebotomist, Mandy now works in our Front Office in billing and referrals.

Mandy enjoys running, traveling, hunting, and fishing; and spending time with her 3 children. Mandy is also an accomplished baker with a successful custom bakery business.

Sarah BuckinghamFront Office

Born and raised in Lauderdale County, Sarah graduated from Lauderdale County High school and attended UNA. Sarah served her country in the United States Air Force with multiple overseas deployments in Europe and the Middle East. After completing her tour of duty, Sarah lived in Michigan for several years working at a large medical office.

Since joining the Florence Endocrine Clinic in 2017, Sarah has become an integral part of our front office focused primarily on patient assistance and insurance approvals for patient medications.

Sarah enjoys spending time with her goats and chickens on the farm she shares with her husband.

Ashton JoinerFront Office

Ashton graduated from Rogers High School in 2008. She has been married to her best friend for 10 years and has two beautiful boys Brison and Brently.

She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Jack, reading books and spending quiet time outdoors.
